A lone Violet-tailed Sylph hummingbird(Aglaiocercus coelestis) approaches an orange flower ready to dive into its sweet nutrients. Violet-tailed Sylphs occasionally cling to their source of food, and mostly travel alone. They live in areas of up to 7,000 feet of elevation. Hummingbirds are common in many places, but the Violet-tailed Sylphs are only found in Colombia and Ecuador.
