The Sword-billed Hummingbird (Ensifera ensifera) is the only species of bird in which its bill is longer than the rest of its body. This gives this beautiful hummingbird exclusive access to long flowers that are not accessible to other hummingbirds. The bill of this species is just under six inches in length.
