The Rufous-Gaped Hillstar lives in the mountain forests of Ecuador, Colombia, and Peru.
I photographed this hummingbird with a high speed camera so we could see its wingbeats in slow motion. Shooting this way has really given me a new appreciation for how hard hummingbirds work!
