You can find greater flamingos anywhere there are shallow, warm waters full of food. They love to congregate in swamps and brackish tidal zones.
Flamingos do everything in flocks, including eating, sleeping, and mating. Once a flamingo is born, it takes about two years to eat enough crustaceans to turn its feathers pink.
