Mother grizzly and cubs

A nursing mother grizzly and cubs turn to look at the photographer. The Grizzlies in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve have never been hunted by humans, therefore are very tolerant of human behavior. Nonetheless, a nursing mother will always remain vigilant for threats to her young cubs. A mother grizzly and cubs should never be approached, as the mother bears will respond viscously to any perceived threat to their babies.
