The scenic postcard of Colorado! Spectacular Maroon Bells located just outside of Aspen, Colorado, is a magical place during a fall sunrise. The North and South Maroon Bell peaks in the Elk Mountains are one of the most photographed locations in the central mountains. Both peaks are called “fourteeners” as they are over 14,000 feet in elevation. Constructed of mudstone, they give the peaks their distinctive maroon color.
