This historic site outside of the ghost town of Crystal, CO, used to be called the Sheep Mountain Power House. It used the power of the Crystal River to generate compressed air, which workers in the nearby silver mines used to power their tools.
Of course, it’s also lovely in color, but we think black and white perfectly conveys the stark beauty of this iconic fragment of the Old West.
