Two grizzly bears meander across an expansive grassy meadow in the Alaskan wilderness. Alaska is one of the best places in the United States to see grizzly bears, which are an endangered species in the lower 48 states but plentiful here. These majestic animals can be seen trekking across vast distances, fishing for clams on Alaskan beaches, and hunting in the huge pine forests.
Take a unique tour of Alaska and come observe and photograph bears in their natural habitat, at Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. This image was taken on a summer Grizzly Bear Photography workshop, led by professional photography instructor Matt Shetzer.
