Pictures of eagles fighting is a rare opportunity to capture on film, except during Fall Congregation. Near Haines, Alaska along the Chilkat River, the world’s largest concentration of these iconic raptors assemble annually. This close up action shot shows two bald eagles fighting, maybe for territory, mates, or food. Although these birds are accomplished hunters, they will often scavenge or steal their meals. Eating smarter, instead of working harder. Here in this thrilling wildlife photo, these eagles battle inflight using their fierce talons to ward off their opponent and achieve victory. Exciting nature images like this are just part of what you will see during our photo workshops.
