An American bald eagle soars through the air with a fish in the grips of its talons.
A bald eagle’s wingspan ranges from 72 to 90 inches (up to seven feet). They can fly up to an altitude of 10,000 feet and can reach speeds of about 30 to 35 mph.
Eagles can live between 20 and 30 years, and an adult can weigh from nine to fourteen pounds. Eagles bones are light because they are hollow.
