Coastal brown bear forages on sedge with fireweed in background

A grizzly sow forages for nutrient rich grass in the vast meadows of Lake Clark National Park, Alaska. The fireweed in the background is one of many wildflowers sprinkled throughout the scenic environment.
Numerous brown bears roam freely throughout the park, located southwest of Anchorage, allowing photographers to position themselves closely and safely to the majestic mammal in its natural habitat.
