The Cape Boavista Light is one of the most distinctive lighthouses in Newfoundland. The signature candy-cane coloring makes this building a real treat to take photos of.
The light is built on top of the keeper’s house, a rare and unique design. Usually the lighthouse and the keeper’s house would be separate structures.
Today, the light itself is housed in the steel structure visible behind and slightly to the left of the old light.
This was one of our favorite lighthouses in Newfoundland that we visited on our trip.
