Brown Bear Chasing a Salmon

Making a Splash – An adult brown bear rushes into the water, in pursuit of a salmon.
The brown bear’s diet is similar to all other bears. They will feed on grass and sedge, fruit and nuts, insects, roots and bulbs of plants and carrion. When hungry enough, they will hunt small animals.
Brown bears that live near the coast feed on fish, particularly salmon. These bears will grow much larger than others because of their protein rich diet.
