In the winter, bald eagles can be often be seen hanging around unfrozen lakes and hunting along coastlines, reservoirs and rivers.

Bald eagles are solitary, but monogamous animals. They spend winters and migrations alone, but bald eagles maintain the same breeding pair year after year.
