A humpback whale breeches off the coast of Newfoundland. The humpback whale can be spotted by its distinctive body shape, long pectoral fins and knobby head. Humpbacks live in pods, and are baleen whales that feed on tiny crustaceans by filtering them coarse gray bristles hanging from their jaws.
